Human rights
...Um yeah this one is cut and dry, just not the way you think it is. Does every human deserve these rights? What are human rights exactly? Are they spelled out somewhere, because I've never seen them. I hear those words all the time though and I've always wondered what they really meant. The way I see it, is a right to live without oppression, without suffering, without someone questioning your every move, basically ...Freedom. If you allow others these rights then you should be entitled to them as well and if you do not, well I think you know the answer. Now where is the best place to find where these rights are respected by everyone. Someone tell me because I would move there in a heartbeat. We should start letting people (or countries) be who they wanna be. If they threaten us then we have a right to watch them, but we shouldn't interfere with them unless it's warranted. You need to learn to take care of yourself before you can take care of others. I think it's time to focus inward and put aside the others for awhile. Things will still be there when your done fixing yourself.

Universal Health care
The big stink! Everyone cries foul on this one don't they. What is the big deal? Well the deal is ...money... not the health care.
This country can afford to pay for every ones health care. I hear all kinds of things like, level of care will be less, people will not have multiple options, I mean come on let's look at it.
Why do people become doctors? Is it to make a lot of money or to help people or a little of both.
When it comes to sustaining life there should be no debate. The biggest schemers in the world are who, Banks and insurance companies. Get rid of them both I say.
What is our governments role in our life anyway? Where does it spend our money? Man I'd like to see that book, I bet it's a mile thick too, with all the garbage piled in there.
The debate needs to focus on government spending and prioritizing it's goals. Then you would see that there is plenty of money to pay for it. Would we upset capitalism if we had a set price list for services? Why not have a committee set up to set those prices, it would be no different than what our politician's do for their pay raises now.
So far I have not seen one practical approach to this debate. It seems to me that mostly every one involved has a hidden agenda. Go figure.

Is there common sense in Science?
That would be one question among many that I would ask. Some others would be along the lines of a definition to Science. Is it the collection of facts to explain something? Is there room to add speculation in there?
The reason I ask is Darwinism and Intelligent design are two competing theories to our creation as a species. I do not understand why it has become so bitter on both sides that people of high academic standing loose their jobs over it.
Would it not make sense, under the solid definition of science, to gather all the facts before you draw any conclusion. Without concrete evidence from either side no one has the right to present their theory as being the correct one.
Therefore I am left to keep an open mind as to how we came to be. I have absolutely no time to be bitter about a theory that is incomplete. Maybe the people who make these arguments should spend their time more wisely, like actually gathering more facts, so they can truly answer the question.
